Back to Bloggin’! | Unplanned hiatus… ☆

20/08/2014

Heeelllooooo blogging world! (✿◠‿◠)

I haven’t posted on this blog in a super long time! My life has been a complete roller coaster these past few months. I’ve met a million new people, I’ve become close with people I met years ago but never hung out with and I’ve managed to turn my life around for the better…

Even though my life hasn’t been particularly busy (This is obvious since in only a couple of months, I’m already up to season 7 of Grey’s Anatomy… but we won’t discuss that.) everything has been changing which is quite overwhelming. I haven’t had much to blog about since my life was all over the place, but now I think I’m in a much better place.

Sooooo with all that boring stuff out in the open, I’d love love love to start blogging again!!!! I might even start a YouTube channel to accompany this blog. 🙂

Eek, I’m so excited! See you all soon 😉

Teen Choice Awards! || Lea Michele’s Speech ♡

12/08/2013

Hello!

I just wanted to make a post regarding the Teen Choice Awards and Lea Michele’s acceptance speech. This is more of a personal post.

So the TCAs have come to an end, with celebrities taking to twitter to express their thanks to fans. Or in the case of  Darren Criss… posting a photo themselves being “passed out”.

I have yet to watch the Teen Choice Awards as I’m hoping it’ll be posted online soon, however I have had the chance to see Lea Michele’s acceptance speech. I would be lying if I said I hadn’t seen this moment coming. Not that it made it any easier to watch! Lea Michele is so amazingly talented and deserved that award more than anything, and her speech just shows she is not just amazing as ‘Rachel Berry’. She is much more than her voice, her acting and her pretty face. She is a woman who has had to face the world in a time where her own world has come crashing down. I know that if I were her, I could not be half as strong as she is being and has been.

I have admired her and Cory since I became a fan of Glee in 2009. Cory was my favourite male actor, and Lea was my favourite female actress. For the next few years since it’s debut, Glee was my favourite show. I fell in love with the characters, the storylines and the songs. I loved the drama, the friendships and the character developments. I’m not going to lie and say I was still a major fan while watching Season 4. It has not been my favourite season, but I remember even when I told myself I didn’t like the new season, I couldn’t stop watching. I remember the return of Finn and how happy I was when Rachel opened the door and he stood there smiling his ‘handsome smile’. And then the shooting episode, where the new Glee cast really came together. Those were the two biggest moments in season 4 for me, and I’m glad I never gave up on Glee.

I’m going to miss Cory’s goofiness in interviews and I’m going to miss his goofy smile. I’m going to miss his obvious love and devotion towards Lea. I’m going to miss Finn and his love for Rachel, and for people in general. I’m going to miss his dorkiness, his voice and his journey to find himself. He was just beginning and it’s so sad that now he is gone. Cory did such an amazing job at portraying the character of Finn. I feel like the world has lost two amazing people. An amazing human being, and a character that the Glee fan base grew to love.

R.I.P Cory Monteith and Finn Hudson.

My Workout Routine!

14/04/2013

Hej readers! 🙂

So…  I just wanted to make a post showing my workout routine of today! Everyday is different (I generally follow this calender. Today was supposed to be “rest day”, but I skipped yesterday so I made up for it today).

To begin my workout I start with a fat burning cardio warm up by BlogilatesI I looooooove this warm up!! It isn’t too hard but it still manages to get my heart rate up and it definitely warms up my muscles for the rest of my workout. (Click here for the warm up!)

Once I finished this workout, I stick with cardio. Although I like this warm up to begin, I also like to get my heart racing more in order to really get pumped up and in the mood for Pilates! This workout is called the “POP Cardio: Heart Throbber”. Once again it is from the wonderful Blogialtes!! I absolutely love this cardio workout. It is only ~8 minutes long and really gets my heart pumping. The mounting climbers and burpees are killer! They are awesome for getting your heart rate through the roof (okay not really… but they definitely get your heart pumpin’!).

After doing the heart throbber workout a couple of times, I got onto my mat for Pilates. Today I mainly targeted two muscle groups – the inner thighs and my butt! To begin I killed my inner thighs with this workout. It is a-m-a-z-i-n-g! It hurts like hell, but is definitely worth it! I am not too great at Pilates yet, so this beginner workout was great for me… a beginner! All the moves and repetitions left my legs (and my glutes!) burning.

Finally, once I had killed my inner thighs, I did this 20 minute butt blaster workout! This one was beyond painful for me. On Friday I had already killed my butt with another workout from Blogilates, so this hurt even more (it was amazing)! There were times where I had to stop for a second but as soon as I felt up to it again I got right back into it. There are so many great moves in this workout and I would definitely recommend it if you are looking to sculpt “dat ass” ;).

So that’s it! I did not workout excessively today… I was a bit lazy but anything is better than nothing!! As you can see, all of my workouts from today were from Blogilates. When I don’t go to the gym, I spend 30-60 minutes watching Cassey’s videos (as well as sometimes playing Just Dance… Dancing is killer cardio!) to get my exercise in for the day.

If you are looking to workout in the comfort of your home, I strongly recommend watching Cassey’s videos from her YouTube channel here! She is AMAZING and it is so simple to find Cardio and Pilates videos to get your 30-60 minutes of exercise in 5-6 days a week.

Espero que estés bien. (I hope that you are well!)
